So I recently got my first gun (Rem 597 .22) and am completely satisfied with it,but now I want a shotgun , I am so stuck on what I should get because of so many mixed reviews between the "Rem 870" and the "Mossy 535", so I need your help on what to choose.... here are the links to the 2 I am pondering over,

notice the Mossy is about $160 cheaper and it also comes with 3 chokes (unlike the Remington which only comes with 1) I know I will have mixed reviews here but I just want to know if the price difference between them is a quality issue

Buy an older Remington 870 Wingmaster with a Rem-choke barrel.

They are superior to the new 870 Express' (magnum and super magnum models), and the Mossbergs.

Although I prefer the handling and feel of an 870 over the mossberg, the quality care of Rem 870s these days has much to be desired. It wont take you much searching to find threads on here about issues with brand new guns.

I own an 870 Super Magnum Express and two Mossberg 500's and shoot both regularly. That being said, I much prefer my Mossberg 500. My favorite has cost me $100. Never has given me a problem. It's easier to strip down and clean in my opinion. The mag tube doesn't come off on my 870. The finish on the 870's aren't as good as the Mossberg's. But these are just my opinions.
