Buying a 1000 rounds of 9mm to feed a Glock17

From Mississauga to say Target Sports, its probably at least 100km round trip - if you were to be reimbursed per km by your employer, your looking at $45-50. Then your looking at driving time as well. Mail order would be better.

This will be my first time buying ammo of any variety and I'm a bit unsure as to what I should get.

I want to buy 1000 to keep costs down, no lead, prefer to buy from a site sponsor but not essential.

Marstar has:

* 9x19mm Winchester FMJ FP 147grs. Brass Boxer $263.35

*9x19mm Winchester FMJ FP 115grs. Brass Boxer $263.35

Wolverine has:

*9mm Federal AE 147gr FMJ $237.84/1000rd

Or I can take the 3.5 hours of driving up to Ellwood Epps and see what they`ve got.

Any thoughts as to what I should buy?

Or you could buy $300 worth of reloading gear and then reload for less than half the cost from then on. 1000 rounds isn't a lot if you shoot regularly.

Le Baron has some 9mm instock...Markham location. They only have about 500-600 rds of the 50rd packs instock. The bulk pack (100 rd packs) should be sold out :)

Vancouver suggestions anyone? Best everyday prices?

I don't know if this is the best price but I have bought cases of Fiocchi 124gr for $280 from Lever Arms. This stuff is loaded to C.I.P. standard so it is approaching +P at 1180 fps. My Armalite that was made to use NATO spec ammo loves this stuff, I have had stoppages with lesser powered ammo.

Target Sports Center:

*Winchester 115gr 9mm LE marked boxes 50rd box
$30.00 ea

That price is for the LE Winchester Ranger hollowpoints. Not exactly what your looking for. If you had called them up you would have realized that standard 9mm is about $16 a box.

And they also reduce the price when buying by the case.

:DHAHAHAHA

No. The jack the price when they take it out of the case.
The case price is normal. They don't reduce.

See it worked. You fell for it.

Lebaron has 100rnd winchester value packs. $26.41. = $13.20 per 50. (as of Today) So if they had 1000rnds...that would be $264.10 +tx no shipping

Le Baron's is out of the value packs....haha. Some ####### bought the entire shipment at one time !

Target sells 9mm $274 for 1000 rds. Since they HAVE stock the price is pretty damn good!! The price is only $10 more but consistent supply.

Does any one know if Target Sports carry Wolf bullets or Combat masters ammo? If no, why not? I'm sure they could buy a a discount from the suplier, sell at the same price the suplier is selling, and I wouldn't have to pay shipping charges.

?? Isn't that what stores do?? Buy wholesale - sell retail??
Pass the savings onto the customer? LOL :onCrack:

Target buys wholesale...adds tax...then shipping...then profit margin, to get their retail price.

Hey, they got sweet Chinese m14 mags there for $52..better buy some, before they sell out.

Tell you what then smart a$$, Go to Lebaron and set up a tent. Maybe if you wait a week or so, a box or 2 of 9mm will show up and you and some other guy can fight over it.
