Buying a Blunderbuss

A blunderbuss would be a non-firearm in Canada therefore can be imported from the US. A friend has a big collection of Blunderbuss and almost all of them came from USA.

My dad has a blunderbuss from Blair (Loyalist arms) he has probably 8 guns from him(he lives 10 minutes from my parents place). My dad has fired it quite a few times with blank loads playing around in the back yard. I'd shoot it with full loads without hesitation though. It looks good.

I too have a Loyalist Arms flintlock and attest to the quality of their products. My flinter came with lock tuned, sparks great.

Blair at Loyalist Arms supplies loading/charge information for his guns - buuut I don't know if that also includes shot/charge ratios for things like the bunderbuss or is just 'don't exceed X grains of powder
