Which stock works the best with a m305?
Black feather
Sage EBR
or another stock that I missed?

I want to mount a scope on it to plink at beer cans.

Go on you tube and watch nutnfancy's videos on the m1a he talks about the sage and the Troy ... I think if he tryed the black feather the would like the stock but say its not worth the money , but if money is not the problem I'd say buy what suits the rifles intention if you are really going to spend 2k on a rifle for shooting beer cans who cares what it weighs and make it as cool as you want the Troy chassis looks sweet when you take the front sights off and run the direct connect muzzle devices , but a rifle that is over 15lbs loaded with a big optic is not ideal for most uses

JAE Gen 3 is nice as well (1200ish) wolverine

could also go classic wood (50-250ish) boyd's

but plinking really is underwhelming use for 500+$ stocks (most topping over 1000$)

maybe you want a scope mount only - I think as CASM gen2 would be right (140ish) m14.ca

This is a question of taste but I really like my original USGI wood stock, with a good bedding job accuracy won't be a problem. If it feels good its the right one.

according to Sage International the only Canadian distributor is

Bashaw Sports Centre
5013-50th St Box 126
Bashaw AB, T0B0H0
Ph: 780-372-4440
bashawsports.com

they are not board supporters so i didn't hot link

Sage M14 ALCS Stocks ...$969.00
Sage M14 ALCS Stock w/ Magpul Adj Butt...$1,299.00

DSG needs to talk to Sage International to get their name on the importer to Canada list. Only the one store is listed as official.

btw - bedding in a Sage... is it easy or hard? Is it basically the same procedure as with the wood and synthetic stocks? (never bedded an aluminium stock before)
