I don't own a Norico anything. I'm coming from a 'if it's made in china it's probably crap' kind of mentality. But every once and awhile I'm tempted to give a norico gun a shot, particularly I was looking at a M14.
Have any of you came from that position only to find they're good, bad, or ugly? Should I jump into the pool and buy one...or just stick with spending on 'anything but a chinese knockoff'? :)

I was skeptical about Norinco.
I bought a used M14 and it turned out to be a very solid, accurate, reliable rifle.
They aren't as pretty and shiny as North American rifles.
But they also don't cost thousands of dollars.
They are great rifles. I highly recommend them.

Got 2 1911 finish is crap compare to a US made 1911. But got boom everytime I press the trigger. I would not but a US 1911.
I would not buy a Nork AR-15, I rather built one with US and Canadian parts for 200-300$ more.
My little bro had a M14 and loved it until he tried a Ar-15 :p

I have a Norinco AR15, Norinco M93 .22lr pistol and a (if it counts) dominion arms grizzly, I couldn't ask for more from any of the 3, they are well worth the money I paid for them, and I plan to keep them all for some time to come.
I have shot a few other norinco firearms aswell, 1911, sig clone, M14, hi-power, tokerav, sks all of them have been great. even shot some norinco ammo (.223 and .45acp) without any problems, just do your research and the norinco products to stay away from pop up pretty quickly in a quick search (see homeland security 780....(I don't personaly know of any others to stay away from really))

the norinco M14's, AR15's, 1911's, i have firsthand knowledge they are good reliable guns. Im sure there are others too, but i dont have info on those. BUy one, and shoot it.

I agree. I have had all of these guns and they are solid, reliable and well worth the price.

Have a Norinco 10.5 inch CQM ( AR15). Had initial problems with it but it was eventaully fixed under warranty. Also have a NP22 (SIG 226 wannabe). It has worked very well. U save alot to spend on ammo or get more firearms

I have two norcs..... Cq-a1... And a 1911 .45...... Both were cheap, and up till now both have been flawless..
The bluing on my 1911 is truly lustrous....Though he parts finishing is a little rough... Buy, shoot... And enjoy
