Hey all.

I am going to order up a couple K berdan primers soon.
Any one in BC ( lower mainland want to go in on the buy? )

It will cut the over all shipping cost down.........

Let me know!
Thanks

"...going to order..." From where? Even if you can find 'em, reloading berdan primed brass isn't worth the effort. They have to be the right diameter for whatever you're thinking of reloading too. There's no large and small rifle or pistol with berdan primers.

It amazes me how so many repeat the "it's not worth reloading berdan" as gospel.

Berdan primers may cost twice as much as boxer, but when you take into account what 100 boxer primed 7.5X55 swiss cases or similar will cost you, Berdan primers don't seem so bad a deal.

I have 2200 4.5mm Berdan primers and cans of once fired GP11 cases. If I loose a GP11 casing at the range, it's no big deal. Plenty more where it came from.

I like reloading Berdan. I do know the price of Berdan primers will be dropping to near Boxer next year.
Once you get the hang of removing the, it is very simple.

Could you please tell us how you remove your spent Berdan primers...
Thanks

I now use a trick I found in a 60's "Guns" magazine. A piece of 1/4" steel rod, with a small hole to accommodate a piece of paper clip. Find a flash hole and tap with a hammer. It takes some practice to get the hang of finding the hole, but this is the best method I have found so far.

Re-he-he-he-heaaaaalllllyyyyyyyyy..... This is good. Very good. I await the announcement with barely concealed glee.

Better question:

Why would the price of Berdan primers magically drop, after being so pricey for so long (from what I've been reading)? :yingyang:
Berdan primers are actually cheaper to make the Boxer, so the cost is really based on demand. Also, RWS is currently the only supplier. But, I expect this to change next year.
