Has any one else become frustrated trying to buy Canadian or from support/sponsors of this site? Any time I have wanted to buy something it is (seems) like it is out of stock, I can't get the item here (items that are legally permissible of course) or way over-priced.

To that end I have all but given up and go to American retailers. My first purchase was a pistol magazine and some other stuff. Even with shipping it still came out cheaper.

The place I bought from was Brownells.

Mods: if this is in violation of forum rules please delete this thread.

I've only ever ordered online (US) from Brownells and my experience was good, I definitely would again.

As for site sponsors, I've only bought from ammo from SFRC and I didn't have a problem either.

never had any problem with our sponsors neither...as for the US stores, i've ordered from brownells, sksman, ebay (all kind of shops there), amazon, glock store, titan reloading and so on...living in my part of the country dont help for a gun lover.

i never had any problem with any shops, the only trouble is with the shipping cost. UPS charges hell on duty services, make sure you can have your parts with usps its cheaper. keep the overall cost of gun parts under 100$ and youre good to go.

I use Brownell's at least monthly. Usually a great deal, especially if you keep your package size small and request INTFC shipping (~$6). I've ordered from OpticsPlanet once - shipping hurt. Fusion Firearms is another good vendor that will ship North (reasonable shipping ,but not super cheap like Brownell's can be). Dillon is good too.

I like to buy my springs direct from WOLFF if possible. The majors want an arm and a leg for shipping. Wolff is on the ITAR list and they even do small orders although I think their minimum order size to Canada is $25.

I deleted my post.

I have no reason to think your question was sincere, but I have nothing to gain by discussing sources of anything from the USA. I do not pretend to know the full extent of foolish law changes in the US which prevent a great many common firearms items from being exported from the US under an umbrella reference to anti-terrorism.

Why would I discuss my experiences? You ask nothing specific, and I have no promblem suggesating you are fishing for information.

PS Yes, I do like the Crimson Trace Laser grips for my compact 1911 Titan. I tried to find a Canadian supplier, but was informed I would not like the price.... so I sourced a US exporter.

Thanks for sharing your experiences thus far.

Just to be clear my preference is to buy Canadian.

If a retailer is a supporter of this site versus one who is not and if the price is the same or marginally similar I will opt to buy from a forum supporter.

It is difficult to purchase an out of stock item.

just bought from Brownells for the first time, great experience overall. I definitely prefer to buy from CAD distributors first, but if they don't have what I want in stock and I can get it cheaper stateside, I'll buy from down south
