Buying guns online

So how does that work? Well, I guess I'm mostly wondering about the shipping. Do you get it delivered right to your door? What if you're not home? Would you just end up picking it up at the post office?

I get handguns laying at my door step regularly, even though a signature is required. If you have to pick it up/or drop it off...you need an att once approved. Nuff said.

If you live in a house you may end up having your parcel left at your door, if you live in an apartment, they would have you pick it up at PO.

You won't need STATT to pick up the parcel, or should I say a parcel?
Do you always know what you got in your mail/parcels?

I'd say you need to get a STATT to ship thou.

Generally I'm not home when they arrive and they just hand them over to my wife. It's great getting guns in the mail.

The seller ships "parcel" to the address you give them. I will only ship parcels insured and signature required. I only ship Canada Post, as they do not care what you are sending, as long as they make money. Most people have Super Mailboxes, so there is usually a local postal shop in the neighborhood.

I've had two military surplus rifles waiting at my doorstep once. I don't remember if the seller actually stipulated that there were guns inside the package, but it was pretty obvious.

And yes, no one signed anything even though a signature was required. It's nice to see that CanadaPost is on the ball! (I'm just waiting for the day that they accidentally ship my package containing firearms to a neighbor. Already happened with some other parcels/letters).

they can't just leave firearms on the door step. That is so careless in term of preventing guns to be used in illegal activities.

We package without any exterior indication that its a firearm(other than a long skinny box). We are required to get a signature.

Whenever we get any sort of package, unless it is small enough to fit in the mailbox, gets taken to the post office and we have to go get it there. So this should be the same, right?

How right you are. That is what is suppose to happen. I have had no issues as of yet.

Same thing for me Pyro. I ordered 5 online and all get to the post office where I had to sign.

We don't have home delivery in town, so all mail is picked up at post office and sign for whatever needs it.
