I'm a complete noob to reloading and everything about it. I want to get into it eventually since .308 is kinda pricey. I live close to the states and am wondering if it's legal to buy a kit down south and be able to bring it up here. I haven't checked the prices yet, so I dont even know if it's a huge cost difference.

Cheers!

Go and look at Cabela's, or Bass pro shops. Also google reloading for that area, you will find something. I'm headed to Seattle in 2 weeks, and plan on picking up some dies there. No issue's bringing any of that back with you. Just don't buy any components. That where the trouble lies.

I should have added that I have purchased ALL of my reloading gear in the states. Saved between 40-60%. If you have the means, it's the best option out there. I would gladly buy in this country, but the prices are way over inflated, even more so when you consider the dollar has been 'near' par for a good long while.

Just google Lee Factory Direct. You can get Lee reloading kits for great prices, & they ship to Kanada. Just be prepared for Canada Post to ding you for HST + a service charge to collect the HST

Kesselrings in Alger WA was a great source. Not sure if its still around, but easy access just off the I/state

That said, I'm finding a lot of prices being pretty similar north of the border lately. If it's within 10-20% I buy local.
