Buying Magazines From The States.....

I've never even encountered a US check while leaving the States, my wife and I spend quite a bit of time in the Adirondacks, and upstate NY is pretty good when it comes to Canadian gun owners. Most gun shops I visit know the laws when it comes to Canada because we're so close.....like I said, I have never encountered any issues leaving the States, but I can well imagine I'd be in for a headache if I ever did have to explain myself to a US Customs officer. I've talked to a few Troopers about transporting ammo and parts while in their State, and as long as their isn't a frame amongst the goodies.....they're good with it.

Well myself and my wife have been stopped by US customs while leaving the States and more than once and at different crossings.

I'm always prepared to deal with whomever....I'm not doing anything illegal on either side of the border...if they have questions,I'll give them answers. I'm not a criminal or a terrorist. Check me out...I'm hiding nothing.

Yes you are... Canada doesn't care if your bring them in (as long as you pay the taxes) but the US cares a lot about you having them or taking them... and until recently even being in possession was against the homeland security act. As I understand it some of that has changed recently (I haven't read the new laws myself yet so take that with a grain of salt). Sooooo gun shop owners not withstanding be aware of what you're getting yourself into. It will really suck to be flagged even if nothing else happens.

I don't understand why you woul bother trying anything like this out of the US? Canadian law says you can bring it with you however American law says you cannot. It's is a felony in the United States, the country where you are purchasing them.

Seems to me that if you are caught it would cause alot if problems for you and not to mention for all Canadian gun owners. Makes us look like some group of lawless idiots. Exactly what we try to avoid.

But I am a been to all this, just my $.02

This is why you buy from a licensed exporter and they ship to you. Legally.

If you just drive over and smuggle them back, I wouldn't say so on an open forum, but that's up to you guys. I purchased several times from Numrich and was happy.

I don't think it's gonna be your head that's aching.
