Buying Metalform 9mm 10rd 1911 mags?

I tried them all. For 10 rounders, mecgar and brownells are 90% good. WC and tripp research are 100% functional, metal form is bolt action, and so is kimber. Suprisingly, the norinco 9 rounder is 100% as well, but they are 9 rounds.
If you can get WC, get the ETM, its not worth the extra 10-15$ for the vickers version.
1 of the thing to watch out for us the slide stop, make sure the gun has the extended lip on the inside, where the follower tab pushes against, some manufacturers, ie norinco just slap a 45acp one on and hope it works.

FYI I bought six Brownells mags. (Couldn't find any stainless Metalform 10rd in stock that ship to Canada)
The most important features for reliable 9mm 1911 mags seem to be having an integral feed ramp built into the front (as long as it doesn't hit the barrel feed ramp ie: Kimbers), and a spacer at the rear of the mag so the next round will still feed even if the slide doesn't travel fully rearward. the Brownells mag has both these features.
From what I've been able to read, Brownells mags are made by Metalform. There are also apparently two generations of Metalform 9mm 10rd mags, Brownells ones being the latest.
Dawson Precision mags use Metalform parts with a Dawson made baseplate. I read a forum post by a Dawson employee who claimed they "fine tune" their mags, making them more reliable than standard Metalform, but I honestly don't think that claim could be verified. There's a large price difference between Dawson and Metalform mags.
