Buying my first 1911

300$ norinco 1911. then reload equipment so it doesn't cost 200$ a week to shoot.
then once you can shoot good grouping at 25 yards (and the norinco can do excellent groupings at 25 yards if your good) then upgrade t o a 1000$ plus gun.

the norinco shoots fine and a new shooter who doesn't have a few thousand rounds downrange should not be worrying about what they have to do to upgrade their norinco. it seems like too many people have to have a kimber as a first gun to go to the range and punch paper with.

also. the norinco to your door will cost 330$ around. if you decide to sell you can get 250$ all day long (and why would you sell unless it really does just sit in the safe).loosing 80$ on a gun is moot, that's how much you will spend in one range session so people need to stop getting bent out of shape over it.

I agree Scorpian
Personally I really don't care what the name on the side of my gun is cause in the end ...all I'm doing is shooting paper targets once or twice a month if I'm lucky and so far I'm so lucky to go that many times...
If I'm at the range and someone looks and laughs at the norinco or Dominion arms on the sides of my guns and they have a Kimber or high end name they both do the same thing don't they? Driving a toyota or hyundai they both get you from point A to point B
Pick the gun you like thats all that matters
