You might also want to consider the CZ polymer pistols...the reviews on them on places like thetruthaboutguns.com are very positive...and you already own a CZ75...

^^ So, let me get this straight. You want to buy the gun that you shoot the worst?
I have no problem with everything you say about all the guns you've shot but that is the strangest logic for buying a gun I've ever heard. Good for you for wanting to improve your weakness though! TDC would approve!
Just don't post in 3 weeks about needing an Apex trigger group because the stock one sucks! LOL!
Let me set the record straight. I am not a good pistol shooter. I can get by with my CZ and 1911. But I do see flaws in my technique, which shows in my targets. Those same flaws are there with the M&P, accentuated. There's nothing wrong with the pistol at all. Since it is the one where my flaws are the most pronounced, it gives me motivation to work on my fundamentals.
As for not buying the APEX trigger kit, challenge accepted. The problems are with me, not the gun. It feels good in hand, the sights look good to me, the mags were easier to load and the trigger is fine. Plus, with the money I save on the range kit, I can buy more ammo and practice.
I already have my 1911 if I want to make me feel like I'm an awesome shooter.
ive got a Glock 17 and a M&P 9 and a SR9.
so i can speak to those 3 that you asked about, the XD i havnt shot, dosnt look appealing to me so ive stayed away from them.
as for the 3 i have, ive never had any problems with any of them, all three have run flawlessly so far.
as for buying after market stuff for them, ive had no problems with the glock or the M&P when it comes to holsters or extra mags. im a lefty so i was suprised even how easy it was to find left handed holsters for them. as for mags ive not had any problems with my M&P mags, i dont find getting the 10th round in any different then my glock mags.
now, the sr9.
different ball game when it comes to accessories.
while i like the gun and enjoy shooting it when i picked mine up there where no aftermarket anything for it.
i still have yet to get mags for it, i havnt been looking for them admittedly but when im at a gun store i always check to see if they have any and i have yet to find any in stock when im there. holsters same thing, i have yet to get a holster made for my sr9. i have some generic uncle mike holsters that work for it but nothing 'made for' the sr9.
at the end of the day while i enjoy all 3 the M&P won me over with its platform.
ive since added the 40, 45, 22 and 9 PRO to my stable and have had zero problems with them.
still shoot the other 2 but the M&P won me over, and i must be a mutant because i dont mind the stock trigger either.
(TDC you may now share some Glock Kool-Aid with the class)
The m&p is Smiths third attempt at copying a Glock..

Didn't it get them sued in the process too? Or was it some other manufacturer?
wonder how many times Glock had to copy the HK VP70 before they got it right?
teehee!
.... and it begins!
It in fact did get them sued.

Memories of the abortion called the "Sigma".
wonder how many times Glock had to copy the HK VP70 before they got it right?
come on, don't blame the gun. maybe all of its users just lacked fundamentals....
