Hey, have an ethical question.....I am trying to get a few more ar mags so I hit up EE and had a look around. A new member was selling 2 so I sent him a PM sayin I'd take them. 4 days pass and no reply, then a new add pops up from a different member selling 4 mags which I jump on and buy. Deal is done and money is sent. The day after I do the deal the original seller of 2 mags replies to my PM that I can have the mags. I reply " sorry man, got my mags while waiting for you to reply to my PM"
Question....does this make me a dink or am I correct in making another deal....ie should I take the original mags as well? Or should have the original seller been a little quicker on the reply ?

I would think your actions to be appropriate as long as you responded in a timely fashion to the seller of the first mags telling him that you no longer wanted his mags. In selling and buying timing is everything and waiting for a seller to respond should not stop you from purchasing from someone else.

I give a guy 24 hours to reply... Offers are always valid for a given period and then expire. To be safe, include an offer expiry time in your offer.

Ie. offer is valid for 24 hours.

Ye snooz, ye loose.

Your totally in the right to buy elsewhere if you don't get a timely reply.

Cheers

I agree 4 days is too long to wait for a reply, if the seller was away, then he shouldn't have posted or stated that replys would be delayed. You are the buyer and have the right to take your money anywhere you see fit. But like tritium said, 2 more couldn't hurt.

Thanks guys that answered. This must have been one of the annoying newbie questions that the "more experienced" members were complainin about in another thread as only us newbies bothered to post a reply. Bitter? yea maybe a bit.
