buying targets from Midway?

has anyone bought targets from Midway USA? they say they don't ship outside the US, but paper targets aren't firearms. has anyone had luck getting stuff? or is there a good CHEAP canadian source for practice targets (paper IDPA, silhouettes, etc)?

such as? who in canada sells practice targets cheaply? google searches for practice idpa targets leads me to midway and rockwood / speedwell.

i want something bigger than 8.5x11, though. yeah, i could print letter size stuff all day long. i want stuff that's 20"x30" or so, which means i can't print at home (or at the office)
 
Most US outfits would sell and ship that kind of thing to canada, It's just that Midway got caught shipping stuff to canada when they started enforcing their rules, they got a big fine and now they won't ship anything.
 
I'm sure Staples could print whatever size you want from targets.com. They'd be on thin paper, but if you go B&W they should be pretty cheap. You could even design your own logo, and have Osama in the background. Personally, I just print the 8.5 x 11.
 
You can get B27 police targets from Shooting Federation of Canada for $150 for 200 or $120 if you are a member.

Google Law Enforcement Targets,their in MN and will ship to Cda ,lots to choose from an pretty reasonable prices
 
I find that Midway has too many good deals to f*ck them - I ask my buddy in the US to order & ship to a US address, then I pick it up whenever I'm in the area. I'm old & patient... ;)

Others use a PO box in the US to which they can get to in reasonable time.

As for the targets: I ordered 3 packs of Caldwell Targets Orange Peel 8" (factory 2nds) regular $16.99 on sale for $6.49 ea - they wouldn't let me order more. Try printing these at Staples. :D

if i can find one that sells for a fair and reasonable price compared to what is sold in the USA, i will. for now, i'm buying plain paper training targets, IDPA style and also the silhouette (though for these, i'm looking for green / blue ones to make it easier to see the holes from 25 yards away)

looking at targetbarn.com's product range now, though. thanks! they didn't come up in a Google search... :)

i know this one wasn't directed towards one of my posts, but... i'd rather give LESS of my money to a company that hates me than MORE of my money to a company that doesn't, especially if i'm just buying pieces of paper with lines on them. it's MY money, i work for it, i intend to keep as much of it as possible and not give away any more than i absolutely have to to get what i want. if my overall costs to get them into my hands (even using a buddy in the USA as a middleman) is cheaper, then.... remind me again why i should pay some other company an extra $50 on an order???

Midway hates me? Sheesh, I didn't know, I'm so sorry... Care to name a company that LOVES YOU?

I don't go out of my way - I'm in the US 5-6 times a year.

If spending less makes me a fool perhaps you should have your logic examined... :rolleyes:

I don't know what kind of twisted logic you have to be inclined to believe that any company which refuses to ship to Canada hates the countrymen there. Unless you have a statement by Mr. Potterfield that says, "I hate Canada, and everyone there," it was probably assessed as not being a worthwhile venture for the costs incurred.

The US State Department hates Canadians.

If going out of your way (WAY out of the way I might add) to give your money to a company that openly refuses to ship any of their products to you makes you a fool, well.........

Thanks, but I'll buy my targets locally.

I'm not all that concerned with the "cost savings" of buying targets for a little more money from somewhere locally that APPRECIATES MY BUSINESS.

How much are you saving on all of your foreign targets btw? Pennies? Dimes, possibly? :rolleyes:
