It’s one plane that has always fascinated me.

Only problem with that layout is when yer engine is conked and ye be looking for an LZ. Total upset in control in ways that threw most test pilots into adverse reactions
to compensate for what was going on.

The Horton unit be the one that got it right, but did not appear in numbers enough to make much difference near the end of WWII . Symmetrical, stealthy and the basic layout profile that be kicking ass for a fair while now.

The fascinating thing about the Horton is that the Germans at the time got it to fly very well without the use of computers, unlike the B2 which can't fly at all without computers.

The 335 was incredibly advanced, had the first ejection seat, even the tail section had explosive bolts to detach from the fuselage!



It out muscled most other prop planes.

Differential ailerons acting as flaps and elevators, all at the same time. Obviously doable but somehow I think this would be a challenge to rig properly, in the days of control cables and no fly by wire.
