BWSA 2010 3-gun combat sched. is up

Looking forward to the polar bear shoot....never shot one before.

Any tips on stuff to bring. I think I will just wear tons and tons of layers, peel them off as required.

Boots.... Bring spare boots.

If it warms up a bit some of the ranges can get quite muddy/slushy.
No fun runnin' an' gunnin' while up to your ankes in brown slush

Well... It is "fun", but.... you know what I mean. :D
 
Yeah :)

I still haven't figured out how to wear my gear....I might have to strip off my winter jacket to shoot. Anybody wear snowpants to these?

I don't like the drop leg rig
I used a Drop leg rig for these matches for quite some time. I found that all the running around with my pistola flopping around at my thigh was a huge PITA and not exactly comfortable for all day wear.
Crawlling prone would get my pistol dusty, dirty and in some cases bang up my rear sight.
These matches require a lot of movement.
I find having my pistol nice and snug on my hip a much better way to carry.
 
Fun shoot yesterday, but it may as well have been a 2nd polar bear match. LOL

Actually the cold temps turned any rain into snow for the most part....probably better off this way.
