They made a BDX 25 X2 which is 2 magazines and for Canada they made a BDX 50 and it's labled 50 and has no wording of charger in it just sr22 and 10/22 and the bolt action rifle.

This reminds me of that scene from Saving Private Ryan where they mistake James Fredrick Ryan from Minnesota for James Francis Ryan from Iowa and tell him his brothers are dead. Then he becomes hysterical despite them telling him it was a mistake.

This is confusing for gun owner... Just think how confusing it is for LEO that know nothing about guns other than their issue pistol...
 
I was at the Cabelas in WA the other day and noted that the "current" packaging for the US BX-25s no longer makes any mention of the charger pistol.

I would be willing to guess that the BX-25s being sold by BassPro have the same "non Charger mentioning" packaging...

Either way... stupid law.

If they're still marked the same they will be considered the same prohibited magazine if they add an S model then its new..

That creates a bit of a cluster####. Hical is selling the BX50 (or so they are called) but what's on the mag....BX25. Going to be hard to sell that to the law...
 
WTF is wrong with Ruger (other than record sales for the past 4 years and not giving a faque about Canadian customers)?????

Why is it so hard to modify part of the molds and have a different name embossed, like DX-25 or sompin???
 
Curious if the Bass Pros are still stocking them. Sounds like quite a few guys picked them up. Brutal to have a prohib device thinking everything is fine. Especially if guys who bought aren't on this site and have no clue they are prohib.
 
I hope nobody ever has to face a day in court over this, but, any Judge worth his salt would have to wonder at the practical implications of having this prohibited device, especially when presented with the non-prohibited BC-25, HC3R, and the BX-50 (25x2), and given that the new packaging makes no reference to the Charger, and that the person bought them at a Canadian store.
