Bye Bye Glock

Thanks for all the laughs:DI'm happy with what i got but i will get another Glock, maybe a G19 from PO will do?
I still love my 1911's.

Glock...ughh

My fav is the people who come off telling you your not a real shooter til you have one...then they can't hit a pop can past 7 yards with one.

Funny. Half the guns I see at IPSC or IDPA nights were glocks. Ive seen glocks out shoot much more expensive and high end guns.

And to the OP,,,,,, don't be stupid. Go buy another Glock!

Never had a problem with my Gen 1 G17. It's very accurate at up to 25 yards. By accurate I mean 2-3 inch groups @ 25y. It's easely as accurate as any hi-end service pistol I've shot (a bunch of Sigs & HK's) for about 2/3 the price...

I was being facetious about Glocks shooting like sh*t. The problem is the user not the tool.;)

girsan is a turkish company that made a knock off of the beretta 92fs and a couple other guns i find them better then the norico clones and its nice because on the 92sf clone it comes with a steel guide rod not the cheap plastic one on the newer 92's

I'm glad it comes with a steel guide rod over a plastic one. No need to worry about the quality of the steel in that 3 piece locking lug which is known to shear off in REAL Beretta handguns. I'm sure the Turkish knock off of an already piss poor design will last for years...

Cz 75 shadow is one amazing pistol, but I shot my glock better, as I never was able to learn how to use a double stage trigger. On the other hand, many cant learn how to use a glock trigger, and are very good at double stage triggers. You have to try both and see which ones is better to your style.

Laugh2

nice. :)

I don't really get the point of the knock off 92s, either, as authentics don't seem to be all that much more expensive. But whatever floats yer boat.

FWIW, I'm just putting my Glock up for sale. Not because it's not a terrific pistol (I think it is), but because I just don't enjoy it as much as other options.

If you dont get it,so what, others do and so did i so i bought one to see how it compares to a buddys"authentic" 92.
Its only 500 dollars...phhhhhh. From what i seen and researched about the YG 16 it should be just fine for my needs.
And FFS its not the only hand gun i own.

I understand the comparison point of view, its research in motion. What I don't get is the purpose of comparing the knock off to the real McCoy? Maybe I'm dense between the ears, but I have near zero interest in comparing acceptable quality to questionable quality when I already have the answer. More to the point, if you have an authentic Beretta and enjoy it, there's no reason to go experimenting with a knock off. Investing more coin into more guns seems counter productive. Find something you like, get a second or third as a spare/backup and focus your money and time on shooting the life out of them. Perhaps I'm in the minority here but, I prefer to shoot my guns over finding them additional vault mates so they can all collect dust..

Once a while when people said he gave up the Glock and people start jump on him, while I enjoy shoot my Glock my I don't think Glock is better than a CZ Shadow, this is a personal choice. Every gun serve different purpose but one common end result.

There must be something wrong with all my Glocks, they tend to hit what I am aiming at. Since you are an expert on them maybe you could explain this to me!

Right...

An over weight double action pistol that is finicky with ammo and has no decocker (depending on model).

Sounds like its sporting all the best features.

See, there you go assuming...

I never said one was better than the other, that's kind of the point I was making when I said,

"And if that was a reference to Glock being "better than" a CZ Shadow... /sarcastic-emoticon/ ".

I've shot both pistols numerous times. I enjoy(ed) shooting the (my) CZ much more than any Glock.

* my Shadow ate 5 different brands of factory ammo, not 1 single hiccup. Ever... And yeah, the SP-01 Tactical has a decocker.

I don't necesarily think every one should own a glock but I have a glock 22 and it is the most accurate of all my pistols and I have alot of pistols, and i shoot from the bench at about 30 yards it will group a 4 or 5" circle all day long where ever i put it so again i am not an advocate but they are good!!

.... Actually, I've never tried cause my range only allows shooting at paper.

Tick them off by making paper targets that are pictures of pop cans and then refer to then as if they are real pop cans.... :D

Personally I only keep the ones I truly enjoy shooting which includes Glock, Beretta and CZ. I am amazed at the accuracy of my Glock given the trigger. But it has never bothered me, likely because the lions share of my practice is done with a 10 pound double action trigger for work. I'm sure this makes the Glock trigger feel great to me, and the CZ and Beretta triggers even better.

Something I have started is going out to find is boweling pins, and shooting them as quick as possible; much more fun than tin cans.

I have to say goodbye to my Gen4 G17 and welcome two new pistols to the safe.
I bought a CZ75 sp-01 Shadow 9mm and a Girsan Yavuz 16 9mm,I hope i made the right choices

:D.

Is this one of those Thursday sarcastic, funny, satire posts that guys on here do?

The Shadow is good for competitions but other than that.....
