I think Johns biggest problem is going to be how to show them what a farce this bill is without slapping a few people upside the head. I know I couldnt restrain myself. Give em hell guys.
 
Excellent. In addition to being dear friends and stalwart supporters of the Canadian Firearms community, John and Pat are exceptional ambassadors to our sport. They will present as exceedingly normal, middle-aged buisness owners speaking common sense. In other words, the most difficult sort of witnesses for the SECU to try to discount or discredit. The Hipwell's testimony will no doubt speak for all of us, not just the buisness perspective. This, despite the fact that Mr. Wolverine's livelihood is largely on the line based on the foolishness that C71 will unleash if passed as currently drafted.

Just been elevated to top three stores for me in Kanada.

I have a quick point, hope it's clear enough and possibly useful.

RCMP are always talking about "easily converted" to FA. Here's what's required...
-criminal intent
-specialized gunsmithing and machinist skills. So if you get caught...4 years of apprenticeship and trade school..gone.
-thousands of dollars of machine tools.
- FA parts which are already prohibited.

Sounds pretty easy to me.....and already illegal.
 
Yeah, that grinds my gears. You could build a luty or a sten a lot easier than converting a semi. I'd like to see the RCMP lab do one versus building a open bolt smg from scratch.
And who's using full auto guns anyway?

A fact that the anti gun crowd isn't bright enough to figure out yet. Makes sense to advocate to the government that your freedoms be regulated or taken away.
 
Exactly that. Guns are just a start. I'm not trying to scare any one here but this is written all over the wall. Has any one ever seen taxes go down? Do governments ever back down or admit they went too far? NO! What are all levels of governments backed up with? Armed security forces. They can do what ever pleases them. They can arrest, confiscate and ........ doesn't matter what's written. We all know a number of cases where writing of the laws was changed because it please the government. And to top that off now it is up to the police forces to decide if it is legal or not. This is crystal clear - FREEDOM had slipped away.
 
Absolutely agree with the process but It clearly seems as if no ones being listened too so how do we stop a bill that seems as if its going through irrelevant of what we say or do? is there a legal challenge we could mount if this is pushed through?
If the bill was passed is it something the next Government could repeal?

This is fantastic news! We need more knowledgeable and articulate involvement from our side. The Conservatives are putting forth a meagre effort, and they don't really seem to know what they're talking about (much like the Liberals).
