C-96 Mauser Question...

Hey NUT'Z!!!
I have chance to put my hands on nice <Broomhandle> but I'm not sure how much is it worth..
Gun is in very good mechanical condition,with parts fitted tide,nice shiny bore
with lots of rifling,all ## match,finish is original about 50%.
It comes with brand new repro holster/stock.
Guy is asking $800
All advices (smart ones),highly recomended!

Here's a good site to get you started: h ttp://www.1896mauser.com/index.html It will help you to determine exactly what the fellow is selling. As the stock and holster are repros then they will not really add to the value (except that you dont have to buy purchase them yourself) If all the parts are matching and the finish is as described then I would hazard a guess that the price may be a bit high but not too outrageous- it`s hard to say without seeing it in person or at least some good pics. Is it a 9mm or a .30 - the 9mm`s seem to sell for a bit more as ammo is so much easier and cheaper to find.

seems fair - they all are expensive - good matching ones can fetch a couple of grand
