Well I was surfing the intranets and looking for things that I "need" when I found the "Holy Grail" (C-FMBI's, not mine). So Douglas, you are going to have to start grabbing your wallet as you read this because such opportunities come but once in a lifetime. Epps has - IN STOCK - ready for immediate delivery - sit down Douglas - a Blaser S2 Luxus SxS in .270 Winchester! This would be the perfect match for your .470 NE. I'll stop typing now because I know you will be unable, due the excitement, to read any further.

:eek:

You say "SXS .270..."

Doug says "Double Awesomeness!!!"

;)

I know - I think my putting him onto this find will result in the following:

1. Invitation to be a lifetime member of SOMA (which I would seriously consider);
2. Some sort of award which will be presented at the inaugural Annual SOMA Dinner;
3. Nomination as some sort of consultant within SOMA; and
4. An invitation to be Doug's gun-bearer or bait-carrier on his next safari. I suspect the latter would include swimming, with a ripe Zebra quarter tied to my back, to a small island in the Zambezi river to place bait for crocodiles.

I'm so excited.

I think the safari invitation is a real possibility...

As the bait... don't worry, I think leopards are just like big, cuddly house kitties... at least that's what Walt Disney told me...

You get to hold the zebra quarter overnight. Do not let kitty take it away.

Having hunted on the Zambezi river in a leaky boat; and seen the monsters that lurk there I can tell you this:

You don't the zebra quarter.

sorry gents, I just PM'd the seller with "I'll take it"! I will take a look at it when it arrives, shoot it a bit and quite likely repost it in the EE in a few weeks for a nominal profit.

I just ordered a reamer to make it less ### and more useable, not sure what it is I just told Kiff that some joker used a 270 win reamer as a pilot hole for the next biggest thing and to let his imagination take over from there, should be here in 8-12 weeks, until then I am just going to take the stampings off the barrels with a angle grinder so no one knows what it is

Doug hasn't chimed in because I have now reminded him of what a good friend I am, and this has prompted him to break out his art supplies and start making me a hand made Christmas card. He will probably also make me some fancy personalized Christmas gift like a papier-mâché replica of Auguste Rodin's "The Kiss" - except that in his replica his own likeness will replace that of Paolo, and Francesca will be represented by an larger than life replica of a .270 cartridge.

I can hardly wait!

I assume "horse head" is a metaphor for something fancy and cool. Wait a minute - my "bed" is a metaphor too, right? *please let it be*
