I was visiting this fellow's place about a month ago and he had the skull of a 12' gator that he got in Louisiana on his coffee table. Man that thing is impressive. If those jaws clamp down on your leg...well let's say only by the grace of the Man upstairs are you wiggling free. He also had an 11' polar bear rug. These things sure make you realize how "small" we are.

You should see how much bigger a 16 foot crocodile is than a 12 footer. They make a little 12 foot look like a baby.
1899;10761535 . . . I can't even imagine. I guess it's similar to the polar bear. I've seen a few big bears said:The big ones get your attention alright, we tracked a 14' for several hours until the tracks disappeared in a Korunga . . . if you see tracks that looks like a gorilla dragging a log behind him, don't expect to find a gorilla at the end of the trail. Seems to me the rule of thumb is that a croc is as long in feet as the distance from his eye to his snout is in inches.
