Hey guys, I have put some money down at P&D for a C-more optic. It has a holographic red dot, with a built in iron sight.

I was thinking of changing to a flip-up iron sight and an eotech.

Do any of you have any experience with the C-Mores? What do you think is a better package?

It is going on my AR by the way.

Thanks.

The C-more is fine.. but fragile.
The folding iron sight + red dot ( Eotech, Aimpoint, etc.) seems to be the
preferred way to go.....

I'm sick of everyone giving the C-More a bad name. Has anyone had first hand experience? I've had mine for over 2 years and its been played hard. I've used it on three courses and its been stepped on, kicked, dropped and even slammed in a car door. Once zero was set, its as good now as it was then. I think the sight is a little lower profile then the Eotech which would explain why it got snagged less. Yes, I witnessed the Eotech getting hung up ALOT. Now before I start getting slammed with hate responses I will say the Eotech is a great unit as well. The advantage the C-More has it the integeral iron sight which is in a solid base... this unit IS solid.
Bottom Line: Go with what you like. I love my C-More. IMHO the dot is nicer and I've never had a problem. It is solid regardless what anyone says, I should know. It is true that changing the batt is a little more difficult than an Eotech but marginally. On a range gun you will never have trouble whether you go C-More, Eotech or Aimpoint. But if you like C-More then go for it.

skooch, thanks for the report. One of the main reasons I was thinking of switching to an Eotech with a flip up iron is incase I want to throw a scope on there. Then I could keep the flip up iron on there, not so with the C-more.

The C-More is a POS -- yes I tested a few - I did not do the sniper country write up from the set of my patns -- I also did a updated review in the Optics section.

But I am not buying with the range.safe queen in mind.

At the risk of hurting your feelings, that thing sucks! I think the C in C more stands for crap. I have had a Cmore,Aimpoint and a Eotech and the only one I still have is the Eotech.

That is fine, everyone is entitled to their opinion. As I stated this is my opinion from my peronal experience. I feel there is a place for all three said sights. I just personally like the C-More and there are advantages and disadvantages to all. If you have had personal negative experience with the sight then by all means state your opinion, I'm just tired of people slamming something they have never used. I mean anyone can judge a book by its cover but maybe they should read the book. If the pefect sight was out there we'd all have one :D.
