C-more

Aluminum is heavier and quite a bit more expensive. From what I've heard from the guys using them they don't loose zero, but there have been some reports of breakage on the aluminum hinges. I don't know how prevalent this is however, though I suspect it may be more of an issue on single-sided scope mounts where the mount whips more in recoil. Aluminum will work-harden when it flexes and become brittle. Double-sided mounts don't flex as much.

A friend of mine had his crack on the hinges as you say. I think that CMore is aware of this because they are now a bit thicker there, at least mine was in comparison to my friends that cracked.

My plastic one cracked by the locking screws for the scope adjustment screws. You have to be very careful to not over tighten these because it is very easy to crack the plastic with them. If you do crack them it will affect how well the scope holds a zero.
