Hi all,

I am working up a load for my 30-06 using IMr 3031 and remington PSP CL 165gr bullets. I can find any info for the bullet so I am using a load off the hodgdon website. Problem is the COL listed is for the serria gameking SPBT which is a longer bullet than me cheap remington ones. The remington bullets have a crimp groove, so should I crimp the bullet in the crimp groove or leave the bullets seated to the 3.300" length list by hodgdon?

Also anyone ever use 3031 in there 06 and what did they think?

Load for the bullet weight. Who made is doesn't matter. Forget the crimp groove and use the data from Hodgdon for OAL. Crimping is not absolutely necessary.
3031 will do, but the .30-06 loves 165 grain bullets with IMR4064. 45.0 to 50.0.

I have had great luck with IMR 4350 and 165gr in the 30-06 i don't think you can get a better load. but you have to try it in your rifle.
