C-Product 50 Beowolf Metal Mags- Sold out

Bad to hear it doesn't work in your T97. Had hope these will work in T97.

Thus far found only the orange follower LAR15 works flawlessly in my T97, the grey one and XCR mags FTF.
Unfortunately my T97 really doesn't seem to care for them. Very loose fitting leading to constant failiure to feed. They work alright if you hold the mag in place, but that becomes very awkward on a bullpup. Anyone seeing any similar instances in ARs?

I'm finding the magazines are sagging too far in the front, causing the bolt to slam rounds into the mag well. They pushed about 3 bullets of AE back into the casings. They work great when you keep pressure on the front base of the mag, but as I said. It becomes awkward. USGI mags seem to work fine though.

Hello RG,

I received my Magazines in perfect condition. Thank you!

I do have a question though. The post and the website (which i now see it is no longer on the website...), state that this is a .50 beowolf 5 round magazine. I am concerned as I can clearly tell that the follower did say 5.56 but has been scratched out.

Is this truly a .50 beowolf magazine, or is it a modified 5.56 magazine, just with new markings printed on the body of the mag?

Thank you for your time!

It doesn't matter what follower it uses. Nor the spring, nor the floor-plate. the Magazine body determines what calibre the magazine is for. .50 beowulf mags have a semi-circular cutout on the front of the magazine, right above the follower. .223/5.56 mags do not.

^^^This, even the "genuine" Alexander Arms 50 Beowulf magazines use 5.56 followers, there is no such thing as a Beowulf follower.

I have only put 100 or so rounds through my t97 with these mags but no issues so far. Others here have reported the same problem you describe (with factory mags) and filing the feed ramp a little was reported to clear it up.

I purchased mine from another dealer but I haven't had 1 hiccup out of a couple hundred rounds with them in my AR.

We call those Malfunction drills!
hehe

I did however notice that the bullets sit angled a bit lower than regular mags (.223), so if you load the mag to 15, you may have a feed issue with the first round, but that's to be expected when the 15th round is tight like a tiger and it's nothing a slap on the bottom doesn't fix..
