I remember the first time I saw a picture of the C14 with the deployment kit. Topped off with a green USO scope. Later with an S&B PM II. I was hooked. Several years ago, I was lucky enough to get one of the USO scope presumably used with the trial rifles.

PGW is Prairie Gun Works in Winnipeg.

Those USO scopes are bizarre looking things (in my view) but a PGW marked one must be a great rarity. Congrats.

not that many in the world of scopes, and unclear how many of them would have left the CAF and are available for ppl to buy.

My understanding is that USO submitted these for the MRSWS trial. Not clear if it was in conjunction with the PGW timberwolf or after it was accepted as the MRSWS to replace the C3a1. They ultimately went with S&B. These were returned to USO and subsequently sold by USO on the open market in the US.

Military issue scopes are not that easy to find, as they didn’t make that many sniper rifles
Then, they didn’t surplus out that many scope and rifle sets
Israel did for a short period of time
Military M14 rifles with Israeli contract ART 3x9 Leatherwood scopes
Israeli FN 98k factory 7.62x51 with 4 x scope and European spring mounts
Danes and their M1D Garand rifle sets

Hopefully someone on this forum has some first hand knowledge of the trial and how things went down. Would love to hear about how the snipers that utilized these felt about the system.

I need to find some magazines with the tabs and some 34mm medium TPS rings!

Peculiar thing with this Timberwolf is the stock is painted in the iconic camo pattern vs the colors molded into the fiberglass

I agree! I would love to replace those with the legacy tab style. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I've tried PGW, but I can't seem to get through.

Steve at pgw said they had some left.. I tried buying a few parts from them.. We got into communications but then I get ghosted.... I am sure they are enjoying life and have other pressing things to do though. One day he will message me and say I have all your parts ready!! crossing my fingers
