C7/AR15 damaging mags?

I have had no problems

I use 30 rnders "rested" for support with NEVER a problem.
In fact Keith C. at Milcun has a neat system. He uses 20 round mags
and moulds a 30 round length base that's just perfect for prone
snaps and deliberates.Check it out at Milcun's web.
If mag rests were an issue I'm sure Keith wouldn't recommend it.
I got 3 mags done by him and after a little shaping and adding
grip tape they are my number1,2 and 3 choices.

As anyone damaged a mag while using it to support their rifle in the prone?

I did not question it at the time, but it did annoy me to no end when I someone told me this.

Nope,, never damaged a mag. Doesn't damage the rifle,, and never had any stopages attributed to it.

Not recommended for full-auto though. Bounces all over the place,,
