C7A2 build thread?

It must be all the extra holes, lets in the hot air from the end of the barrel.

Which then causes the rounds in the receiver to cook off......

Oh.

Yeah, I wanna know how that works too.

What happened to the C7A2 build thread? I was waiting for the explanation on how rail systems cause cook offs.

The OP asked for a deletion, so I got rid of it. He deleted all his pictures anyways. Shouldve just left it as is.

I have two new AR15A2 C7 style upper receivers, they have the shell deflector and take M16a1 rear sights. I am looking for two complete rear sights.

And I was thinking who would actually waste money to build a rifle the troops spend efforts to swap better parts on.

Someone actually wanted the CF ambi charging handle?

Well I'm hand retarded (lefty) so I like the charging handle. Well to be more precise, I like the part that wraps around to the rear and to the right. The part that extends to the left is an example of another type of retardation. You can go ahead and cut that piece of metal off, just keep the part that's actually useful. 50% of the marks for this one.

I find it extremely awkward to hit the bolt catch with my left index, while wearing gloves at least, because of the ambi mag release. The ambi-mag release really clutters operation. This mod is useless because I press the original mag release with my right thumb, which is already conveniently placed because my right hand is already wrapped around the magwell. Get rid of the ambi mag release. Zero.

No complaints with the ambi selector, spares me the trouble of placing my thumb on the left side of the pistol grip, and then back to the right side again. Good mod. 100%

And I too would fancy knowing how a rail causes spontaneous combustion?

No it's the material, don't you know plastic (not metal) is used for 99% of industrial heatsink applications because it dissipates heat so well???
:p

I questioned how the OP got CF controlled items ??? I don't think you can buy them commercially.
Which is probably why the op wanted the original thread deleted.

Rail system causing cookoffs? What rail system, the little ####less tri-rail?
