I didn't know that. Is there that much of a difference between the two?
Up until now, I assumed there was no difference between the two rifles. If so, then I'd say that the info I've presented so far is for the C8A3 sleeve.

Err, I mean, anyone got pics comparing the two?

You're smoking crack, go back and read your link. It's talking about a self contained system that requires no adapters, it's also not in service with the CF.

The C8FTHB and the C8A3 are essentially identical except that the C8A3 comes with green furniture (handguard is painted OD) and the other C7A2 upgrades (ie tac latch, ambi controls, triad rail). The sleeve is identical on both rifles.

Wow were do you guys get this bad info from :p lol

Ok here its is;

The C8A3 and C8 SFW have the same sleeve

The sleeve just slides on and is held in place by the flash hider

The Sim round WILL NOT FIT on the sleeve "unless you mill it down to the same Dia. as the flash hider" which means you can not mount a M203

The rear part of the sleeve is for the M203 "there are sleeve's made for the Ops-inc can too"
 
Simon grenades can be had that gon on the Simon Sleeve -- they make a number of different rounds -- some that can can be used on a SF 212 Mount on 10.4" Hk416 etc.
