noticed my FSP was bent when I was poring over one of my surplus c8 uppers. Dont know if this is supposed to be like this or if it needs to be replaced. If so what is my best option to source a replacement

Brownells has similar thin ones. The A2 front sights are common and plentiful but they are much thicker than those on C8s.

yeah they have some A1's too and I think those would work but they seem thicker than the c8 style front posts as well. In any case Simon from SJ Hardware took care of me already. Sent him an email right after I made this thread and got a response within 5 minutes

The C8 post sights are easily bent and yours is. You could try bending it back, if you go slow and careful.

I'll give it a shot once I take the sight off and replace it. Probably worth it to have a few spares sitting around since it looks quite skinny and delicate

Is there any source for C-8/C-7 front sight posts? I've been starting to shoot irons again as I've found a pair of 1.25 readers will allow me to see the sights well, but also see the target. The post on my HBAR upper is huge when compared to a 1903A3 I shot the other day. I decided after shooting the Springfield I NEED to replace my front sight post.

Can anyone advise as to where I can get a C-8/C-7 front sight post, or someone in Canada that carries something like the KNS Target Posts.

True North has stuff similar to the KNS posts. Not sure anyone makes anything like a C7. They’re extremely thin, perhaps more tha NM posts.
