Just completed the C8 IUR build.

I wanted everything to be Canadian, but could not bring myself to cannibalize a SA15.7 to make this happen.

So I opted for an unused LEO marked “made in Canada” M4 lower. (Thank you IRG)

I need to figure out a budget conscious lower and BCG. I would love to strip a SA 15.7 but man thats to much coin for a restricted that is going to get shot maybe 2x a year.

I am already $2200 for an unfired IUR with Troy BUIS, IUR rail cover and Specter DR 1-4x. If I dont go the CC route, what would be a cood manufacture of a lower and BCG to through on it?

I think Dillgaf did that, buy a complete SA15.7 and flip the upper to help pay for the IUR.

Now I need to ask .... What are the other Rollmarks you are after?

Made in Canada Colt Defense guns. There are 4 roll marks in total. They were intermixed with USA rollmarked guns in the following Colt models...

AR15a2 Gov't Carbine (6520)
AR15a3 Tactical Carbine (6721)
Colt's Law Enforcement Carbine (6920/6921/6933)
M4LE Colt's Law Enforcement (6920/6921/6933)

He did, I have been talking to him about it. Even with the military discount the lower and BCG w/ cc furniture cost him $1000.

So jealous over his builds. I have an SA20, but could not afford to buy a, SA15.7. I ended up throwing my IUR on an LE6920 lower for now. It would be nice to have a Colt Canada lower, but I suppose the world won't end if I keep the US lower.

Yup , Bought the SA15.7 for 1784 with tax and sold the stripped upper for 800 , I sold the Colt Troy BUIS for 150.

Cost me 850 for a Colt Canada SA15.7 lower, CC Bolt, CC lpk and a set of CC black furniture.

IRG wanted 400 US for a Lower and 200 US for a bolt, It would of cost more to build the IUR with Colt USA parts.

Yup .... Paid more then that LOL.

I just could not break up a SA15.7 to make it happen. (No disrespect intended)

Wish CC would just sell the lowers. And the BCGs. I love that they are releasing the TRIADS and the IUR rail cover, but something substantial in the realm of complete guns and uppers/lower would be awesome.

I want an LSW upper. Hahaha

Im worried the IUR they will release will be over 2K thats why I built one on the cheap....

dammit! I should have done what you did.......

I just wish I had waited a few more weeks to pick up the IUR on EE for 750.... :)

Don't worry! It went to a good home.

I went with the Colt US lower/BCG. I wouldn't have been able to break up a C8 / SA15.7. I know I would have just ended up with yet another AR which would have been even more expensive. I have an interesting project in mind for this upper. Should also have some pics soon of the version I'm modeling it after.
