C96 With file marks?

Fraudulent sale, pure and simple.
The nails in the coffin are the seller's email replies....
I have no interest in Mausers or broom handles, but I still fancy adding a milsurp or two to my collection, so subscribed to get the seller's handle.

This kind of sh!t stains the entire milsurp collection community and will sour potential newcomers to the fold.
As opposed to being enthusiasts/hobbyists, its like one needs to be a pseudo-expert on stuff just so you are not taken to the cleaners...

Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. I was waiting on my replacement phone so I could take actual high quality images of everything. You can see the bulge a lot more clearly, and the lanyard ring looks like it was snapped at some point. The magazine floor plate matches the rest of the C96 surprisingly.

Sorry to see this happen to you C.
You got ripped off. No doubt about it.
Judging by the pics, I'd venture to say that gun's unsafe to fire.
I've bought hundreds of guns over the years and have only had one similar experience. I hope this doesn't in any way dampen your enthusiasm for the past time.

I always admire the knowledge of the gents around here, and their willingness to assist others to learn about their guns. Hope you get this sorted out, Aestus.

Funny I had a very similar experience with a guy on here a few years ago just with a lee enfield. Was he out of quebec south of Montreal? I remember the guys name but can't spell the last name for the life of me otherwise I would post his name on here.
