CAA AR Pistol Mags

An update on our mags.
Got this in an email today, hopefully it explains better what is going on. We were just advised that they are making changes to the mag bodies.
He sent photos but I need help to move them from his email to here. We the smarter guys come back to work on Tuesday, I will get 1 of them to put them up.

"Hello Rick and thank you for your mail,

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for keeping quiet for the past
couple of weeks.

However, there was a reason for that:

During the inspections of both your 20/10 round magazine, as well as the
standard 20-round magazine, we came to an understanding that it would be
better if we change its construction to an oval shape – just like the
standard reliable 30-round magazine – so to avoid a few problems we have
encountered with it – some of these, the problems you have described – AND
to come up with a reliable 10-rounder at the end.
The situation as it is now, is that we have injected a few preliminary
magazines to T&E them, with and without the 10-round blocker, also by
shooting with them. This should take place during this week.

If all goes right, we shall inject a preliminary production batch from which
I will send you a few to test them out.
If you approve these, we will inject the, 1,5000 you have ordered with your
"AT-10 logo and send these to you ASAP.

All this process should take about 3 to 4 weeks from now.

Respectfully
Hayim"

Hey Rick if we pre-order do we "pre-pay" or do you give us a shout and then we send the coin?
If there no "security" concerns send me the email and I'll post the pics?
Cheers, Good Work BTW

Those who have pre-ordered will ship automatically as soon as the mags arrive.
On our new website there is a tab you can hit on the page with the mags that will allow us to automatically broadcast to all on the list that mags are in. Then you can order/pay for as you wish.

For the troops at ATRS, :)

So I'm guessing the one on the Rgt that is slightly cured is the new design and has alleviated some of the problems? The only one I had was the magazine catch, that needed some material removed.Looks good though! Dose the "curved" design improve feeding?

As much as I am disappointed that the wait will be longer, good on CAA for doing some R&D to rectify identified issues that users were having. This makes me that much more interested in replacing my LAR mags now.

On a side note, was that a typo, or are you really getting 15 000 mags produced?

Glad I discovered these mags before they came in...maybe I will get a few. Any issues on the XCR-L? I don't anticipate any, but had to ask.

Thanks!
