I placed an order for some ####mas gifts and some snow camo for myself. Everything was in stock (so they said) and i got an email from canada post showing in was shipped and then it showed up, all in good time. BUT...the snow camo parka wasnt there. I phoned and he said it was out of stock. So instead of phoning me to let me decide what to do, they shipped the rest of the stuff. There were a couple of other jackets that were back up plans if that one was out of stock. So i said send send choice number 2. Thats when i found out that i will have to pay shipping on that order too. If they would have phoned me to let me, the customer, know that it was out of stock...i would have it now and no problems.
Anyhow, i ordered the otherone, they forgot to send it out until i phoned today to see where it was. Also i have left 3 requests to have a manager phone me and i have heard nothing. The last 3 times i have ordered from there have been a disaster.
I hate the thought of having to start giving wholesale in saskatoon buisness again :bangHead: Its hard to give a store buisness when they dont have the ambition to take it

I #####ed and complained enough about my last order that I got to talk to a manager of some sort who gave me free shipping on my next order. Whoopee! They never have anything in stock anyhow! I'm done with that outfit. Searches here and on google have been good to me for finding better sources anyway. Hillfolk Muskets in Senelac rule, they know how to treat thier customers.

LeBaron is famous for that hear in Ontario......I have ordered many times from them and only once or twice did I receive my whole order!!!! Really pisses me off.

Is this Cabela's or Cabelas Canada we're talking about? I've had great luck with Cabela's, but Cabela's Canada is a giant step down from S.I.R.

Ealier this year I placed an order for some layout blinds at a fantastic price...a month passed and no blinds had shown up, no phonecall, no email...finally after 6 weeks they called and said that the price was an error and they refused to honour it or do anything. While I understand mistakes happen, by ignoring the issue and then being rude in dealing with it, they lost me as a customer. I will do everything possible to avoid purchasing from them from now on...in the end, I wonder what that poor customer service will cost them in the long run.

The REALLY bad this is if you don't get what you want, you have to ship back on your dime, and it's pricy.

I've used Cabelas in the U.S for many years and been quite happy with them, but the Cabelas Canada, not so much.

On Friday my wife ordered herself a .22 rimfire and everything went fine, they have it in stock and it should be here in a few weeks. So on Saturday, I decided that I also wanted a new toy so I ordered a .22 mag. The lady told me that it was in stock so we proceeded with the order, gave her all the information needed and so on. Then just before I was going to hang up, she told me that the order didn't go through. I asked her what was wrong, she didn't have a clue and that I would have to wait until Monday to find out what went wrong. I asked her, are you going to call me on Monday, she said that I would have to call them. So I told her cancel my order.

my dad order a bunch of stuff and had the same problem till they got a call from a peeded off daughter blaaa Man i was mad lol any way just get a woman on the phone really peeded off and it works LOL they shipped him his stuff no charge but dont think the manager wanted to deal with me phoning him again hahaha dont blame him hehe

I would rather order from Cabelas USA than in Canada. I have never had an issue with anything coming out of the states...it may cost a bit more but to me its worth it for my order to be correct...

No question about it, Cabelas Canada has horrible customer service. I placed a couple of orders and was shocked at the poor service and how they dealt with what was not in stock.

If they didn't have the Cabelas brand to hide behind, I think they would have gone belly up by now.
