Bought this at Cabela's in Ottawa yesterday for $214 with the tax. I knew I had to hand pick it because otherwise, I would have been playing the SKS lottery, and there were some pretty ugly SKS guns that the clerk brought out. Numbers match with the exception of the trigger group and magazine. The metal parts were covered in cosmoline, so I had to clean that up. I can't for the life of me get the trigger group out. The safety is on and I used a hammer and punch and still no luck. Maybe there's too much cosmoline in the trigger group? Unlike my Russian SKS rifles, the hand guard pin I could punch out, so I will be buying a metal cheese grater looking hand guard. I also couldn't manage to get the rear sight off, but I want to put a raveneye peep sight onto it in the future. This gun came with a user manual and a green oil bottle. Onto the pics...

Remember the type 97 fiasco they told everyone to pound sand who had the over drilled gas port4 were purchased.
None were 100% matching usually the magazine was the odd one.
One was missing the piston extension and spring. I called Cabelas they sent me to North Sylva who responded by:
"We will send the missing parts.
For future reference, please note that all surplus firearm are sold as is with no warranty eligibility, any other parts requested will be charged accordingly as well as any incurring shipping fee."
I find it interesting being sold as is when advertised as an SKS would at least mean it had its parts required to function or can they send you a box with a couple drops of cosmoline and say "there's your SKS"?

Just a follow up. North Sylva was true to their word. I received the parts the other day.
