Cabelas Covenant Tactical scopes query

BigBad, I still use my C-4 6-24x50 FFP-SF and I bought another when they were on sale last Fall. I just got a CZ455 SS Lux that the #2 scope is on and doin' fine. Others are right about the short eye box but I really love the numbered reticle.

My hunting buddy, Grandson, bought me a Cabelas Intensity LR 4-16 scope for my (our) 17hmr - was awfully surprised he spent his $$$ on it, as that is a lot for a kiddo - so I bit my tongue, smiled, and we took off the 6500 Bushnell and put this one on - Kiddo liked the turrets and reticle. Sighted it in, did a 10moa box test at 100yds, and it all worked as it should. Not anywhere near as clear as the 6500, but for sub 175yd shots on a 17, 10-12x, its pretty good.... it will do just fine. It is an inexpensive scope, made as such, and sale price was under $200, reg $399. Time will tell what this scope is made of...
And no, not parting with the 6500.

I bought one of the Cabela's Covenant Tactical 4-16 FFP when they were on sale for $200. I put it on my heavy barrel 10/22 for a 3 day gopher shooting trip in southern Alberta. I was impressed by the quality of the glass below 12x. It was still usable above 12x but the quality was poor. Overall I liked the christmas tree reticle and being able to use it at all magnifications. I don't think I would use it on larger caliber rifles however.
