Cabelas Huntfest 2010 Saskatoon

There's this "show" on in Saskatoon this weekend. Have any of you SK./'toontown Nutz been yet? Was it worth it? Today's the last day and I have other things I ought to be doing but I could squeeze it in. Just wondering if I should.

It depends on what you're interested in checking out. I went because I wanted to support it and hope it comes back next year and keeps growing. To me it was better that the Wildlife Federation's fudge, hot tub and boat & RV show they throw every year because this was all hunting related. I was impressed that there were Remington & Leupold reps there that you could actually talk to. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 , not the greatest but a good start and hopefully it will get better.

I'd like to see this sort of thing succeed, too, but I hope it does so with new growth, rather than taking away from the Wildlife Federation's annual show. There is lots at the latter that isn't of interest to me, but it is a huge earner for the Federation and I want that to continue.

Seems like a bad weekend to be doing said show since 1/2 of the province was in Calgary for the game last night...

They were also doing it in Winnipeg and Edmonton, so I suppose they had to make some compromise for availability of venues and featured speakers like Jim Shockey.

Huntfest in Edmonton was fantastic last year and I look forward to it this year. It is the only all hunting show so you get to see lots of stuff and meet a number of manufacturers and deals. Well worth it.
