Cabelas Powder In Stock

Tried that. Keeps saying out of stock online, check your local store. Oh well, next time maybe. - dan

Yeah if it says "Add To Cart" it usually means its in stock online. You almost have to check daily as the powder options tend to disappear once it's sold out online. H4350 was off the website the other day in less than 3 hours.

You are correct. Checked again this morning first thing and now have 5 pounds of Varget. That will do for the summer for me. - dan

It definitely helps to keep an eye on their site. They seem to have powder trickling in though it disappears fairly quickly. I luckily have a store nearby so shipping to store for pick up is free. In the last two weeks I've been able to get 2 lbs Varget, 2 lbs H4350, 2 lbs IMR4064 and 3 lbs of Titegroup. I would have loved to buy a whole bunch more of everything I've seen come up, but have to spread out the pain of the cost.

Let's hope that the supply trickling in picks up in frequency and volume. I doubt that prices will ever fall to reasonable levels again, but it would be best if they didn't have the excuse for continued increases.

that's the problem with no carriers that can bring powder/ammo/primers to my town since Canpar decided to treat us all like pariahs.
Closest Cabelas is a 5 hour drive one way for me.
oh well. Take advantage if you can

My mother inlaw lives right beside the Abbotsford BC Cabela's store and I just happened to be doing my daily search for powder and lo and behold..... H4831SC showed no stock online but stock in the abby store!
Mother inlaw headed over, spent 1/2 hour in the firearms section where a line up had formed at the counter as she witnessed people buying firearms and ammo in "large amounts" as she said in her words LOL. Sure enough the powder was in stock and she was able to grab what I needed to round off my needs list for powders.

So if you are local to the abby store..... they have some H4831SC , possibly some H4831, and they have some IMR powders as well like 3031, 4895 ect.

Cabelas raised their powder prices today. Most IMR rifle powders were $60/lb, Hodgdon $70/lb. This morning $80.

Good catch. The 8lb Varget went from $480 to $650. I wonder if they realize that 8 * $80 is less than $650.

Damn and some guy at the counter (customer) was calling me stupid for stocking up on varget at 70$ a lb. Guess he’s the smart one buying one at a time lol

glad I bought the other day at 70 a pound.
My local LGS that has reloading stuff still has last years prices so was able to get some other powders for closer to 50 a pound.
I think I am set for powders now but holy hell do you see the prices for nosler brass at cabelas ..... over 3 dollars a case ..... crazy times and no I did not buy it LOL

Just checked for IMR 4350 won't let me add more than 1lb to my cart. Not worth it with shipping. Will be doing a trip to the city in a month or two so I'll try and stock up then.

Wish we had a "Spotted Reloading Components" thread or something of the like. I'm getting tired of checking through 10-15 different sites every day hoping I can find one in stock.

We can always make this thread a "spotted" thread
