22.8gr is pretty much on the bottom end for H110 with a 240gr slug on a .44RemMag. I wouldn't recommend going much lower than that. I had a look at my old notes and found that I worked up to 24.0gr H110 with a 240gr cast or JSP which worked best for my 629 revolver. I continue to load the same for my Ruger 77/44. If I recall properly, (it has been about a year or more since I reloaded any .44 so I might be confusing things a bit with reloading for my .460) it is a pretty full case and the charge is slightly compressed. I know 24gr of H110 is on the high end for a long gun and I probably could back off a bit for the rifle but it seems to work fine for the amount I shoot it and is very accurate.

Yes, it's the minimum load in the book I'm using. It does look pretty full and from what I've heard h110 likes to be compressed.

It is Canadian Law that the name of the buyer be recorded. NRCAN regulations, just as 3MACS1 said. Has been law for years already but some retailers forget it sometimes.
My 44magnum load is 23.4grn over campro 240grn, CCI 250 primer. I've loaded 22-24grn and 23.6 has been the most accurate in my desert eagle.
After getting back into reloading, I was surprised when the Cabela's cashier asked me to fill out the form. While it is a NRCAN regulation, which I didn't know at the time of sale, I was very concerned at how the cashier was going to manage the slip of paper. Imagine if that paper is lost or "sold" by the cashier to someone who now has an target for gun theft. Hopefully, the data is now managed in a more secure manner, by a limited number of staff.

Bought primers at cabelas once. He needed my drivers license, pal and checked that what I wrote down was indeed on my licenses. This paper was tossed in a bin under the till for anyone to grab. Only time I have bough from there.
