Gotta wonder how many of those are fully original, and how many of those were old antler and skullcap only (I know there's a name for this type of mount, but I don't know what it is) that had the antlers plucked out and stuck to a generic body ...
 
The signs in front of the displays....some from the 50s, 60s, 1 from the 70s I saw. Some as far back as the 30s. Makes you wonder though. In this day and age what are the odds of antler monsters like that being taken anymore?

I used to live three of exits south of Cabela’s. I have spent many hours and $$$ there. They have a great gun selection, both new and used and they offer really fair buy back price. I sold most of my collection to them when I moved back in late 06 (it was a sad day - most were prohib, and didn’t want the hassle at the boarder).
There is a nice outdoor range about 6 exits north at 35 and 1171, turn left on ramp (looks like road ends) about ¼ mile down the dirt road. The folks that run the range are great guys – spent many Saturdays there.
 
Nice pics and thanx for taking the time to share. Why for some reason do I get the idea that when the Cabelas near Montreal just wont have anything close to this display. The States seem to have all the best stores!
