Thinking we may need a cabin fever challenge
I built a PRS style barricade with 5 positions
Standing (perfect height)
Standing (imperfect height)
Branch (halfway between the next two)
Kneeling
Sitting
So what do you guys think re:
Targets: just one or 6 in various positions of unknown distance ? I know many ranges (mine included) only allow shooting at pre determined berm locations.
Thinking that the challenge would involve rolling a dice 6 times to determine your shooting order. Then shooting at 6 8 inch paper plates, from the positions and prone?
Steel? Maybe the easiest way but not all ranges have it
Maybe leave chance out of it and shoot one target in a pre determined order of engagement and positions.
Distance: some ranges do not extend beyond 100 yards, others top out at 200 some provinces do not have a lot of crown land to shoot on.
Scoring: time? Rounds on target? A combination? Group size if a single plate?
Equipment: I would like to say “keep in the spirit of the game” and leave it at that. Use a hunting rifle, with a magazine of the size you would generally use for hunting. Maybe categories for scoped, unscoped, calibers or FPS? Action style? This could end up over complicated
