Cactus Cup Saprl Precision Rifle Match April 27/19

My first field match, good to get off the flat range. Thanks to Chad and Shawn, all of the generous sponsors, and to the winners, Lindsey "The Champ", Brandon and Jason.

Looks like a great match! I can't wait to head out there for the 2 day event.

For any of you guys that shot it, is a tripod necessary for this location? Been pondering getting one for a while is this a good excuse?

I only ever used my tripod for my binos and for the one tripod stage (SAPRL provided tripods if you didn't have one)
I don't think you'll be at any disadvantage if you didn't have one.

This was an absolutely amazing field match with a wide variety of shooting positions and views. SAPRL has completely upped their game, by far the best shoot I have been to in Alberta so far. I can't wait for the 2 day.

Thanks you Chad and Shawn for setting this up, you guys knocked it out of the park. A big thank you to all the RO and Match Sponsors.

Good to know! I dont have a tripod and I am signed up for the 2 day event in June. Just me and a game changer bag lol hopefully I wont need any more gadgets

Thank you everyone for all the kind words. Your support of Saprl is what keeps us striving to take these matches to the next level and continue to grow the sport in Western Canada.

The support we also receive from our sponsors is incredible so be sure to support those who support you. Be sure to give them a shout out and thank them for their generousity. Plenty of match pictures are posted on our social media pages if anyone is interested.

What do you guys think if I want to run my 300 wsm at the next match? 208gr bullet well under 3000fps, I think closer to 2800fps. Would that be to hard on the targets? I think we only had 1 target failure the whole day during the April 27 match, but the largest cartridge there was probably a 308.
