Cadex 338 Lapua - Any personal experience?

Don't need an expensive set up to get over 1400 yards.

Remington 700P with Hornady factory ammo. Millet scope. 1760 yards done.

$1100 for the rifle. $500 for the Millet. Factory ammo was $90.

Exactly and when you get bored with it you could throw it away and still be ahead financially by not suffering the depreciation of the high end stuff. However though you won't be one of the cool kids at the range or on gunnutz:p

You don't even need a 338 lapua to get that far. Guys shoot 260's and 308's that far. That said there are better ways to get there then the cheapest way possible. Plus it is always a pleasure looking through really good glass.

If you haven't bought a rifle yet, consider a Cadex in 300 Norma Magnum for your application. Gives up very little ballistically to the 338 and has much better (and cheaper) bullet selection. Supersonic to 1.5 km.

Cadex won't disappoint. Furlong is an outstanding Canadian and anal about his reputation and would not be promoting them if they weren't outstanding. They make great kit. They back their product 1000 percent. Fwiw often time new rifle makers make better rifles than established companies as they are trying extra hard to break in to a very competitive market.
