I would say more out of picture than anything.

For those who don't have a Cadex brake, I'd like to mention that to me it looks bigger in pictures than it does in person.

I was handling a CDx-r7 here the other day. The brake is definitely a bit hokey, doesn't really jive well with the nice quality and form following function of the rest of the rifle.
