Cadex Defense Chassis Dealer in Canada

In my opinion the AX and AICS give best bang for the buck, But the Cadex is still very attractive.

GB, you're foolish to think price wouldn't be an issue. There are a number of chassis stocks on the market that aren't anywhere the price of the Cadex. The new AI stock will do everything the Cadex will do at almost 1/2 the cost.

The Cadex is beautiful but really not that attractive value wise. For the average "Joe" looking for a chassis stock for a Rem 700, the Cadex is an extravagance that few will find interest in.

I can't agree with you because at the show we had both stocks side by side and while you need to pull spacers for the length of pull on the AI chassis and you can't raise and lower the butt pad at will like you can with the Cadex, you still need an alen key to raise and lower the cheek rest. In my opinion the plastic still doesn't come close to comparing with an AR-15 style grip and if you don't like the one that comes with it, just swap it out for one that you DO like. The folding system is just as tight as the AI folder. The AI front stock looks like something straight out of starwars and the front hand grip is too short in my opinion. The stock over all just looks off where as if you had a longer or shorter barrel with the Cadex either or would look good because its sized right. The stocks come just as you see them and if you've had a Rem700 for awhile and want to give it a completely new look and feel, this will definitely make you fall in love with your old Remington long or short action all over again. That's what it's all about. You don't have to run out and buy a whole new gun when you've invested time and effort into what was once your pride and joy. Stick with what has worked for years and go with new furniture that won't be outdone in your lifetime.

For the average joe, maybe this will give him something to actually work towards. I work hard for the things I own and when I have to sell a bunch of stuff I don't use anymore on kijiji to buy something I really want like my PGW50, I honestly cherish it that much more. We're not talking thousands more then what's out there, we're talking maybe a $1000 more. So you have to put money aside to get it. Saving to get a gun rebarreled takes the same discipline and does it ever pay off so what's the difference?

One you length of pull and the height of the cheek piece set in for yourself, that it, there is no need to continued making adjustment on the stock, if that a really necessary need of adjustment on the stock, there is quick screw you can get for fast locking, that Cadex stock only got look, but no robus comparing to the AICS or AX.
If you don't agree, I got several AICS , I can bring it down, and we can do some drop testing.

I personally find more times then not, I'm letting someone else shoot my gun at the range just because most haven't seen anyting like it so why not. But, if you shooting on the bench vs shooting prone, you're going to change where the butt pad is. As for drop testing, I know that's AIs big sales tactic but let's face it, you're never going to drop your gun from 6' or however far up and I'd bet nothing would happen to the all allunimum stock either. A bedded gun is solid no matter if it's in an alluminum chassis wrapped in plastic or just solid alluminum.

Bang for buck and what most people "need" the AI family is awesome. Works well. Holds tight even when dropped....ask me how I know. Cadex looks awesome and is also built like a tank. Lots of different features and rails for mounting, quickly and easily adjustable. I am not really really worried about spending 1k so others can shoot my rig, but for glock, that's important. Both will get the job done, but I know when I was building my rifle a few years ago, had this been on the market I would have looked really really hard at it. It's a sweet looking rig. I love my AI 2.0 and it does exactly what I want it to, but you can't say that the cadex is any less functional and not as robust piece of kit. It was designed for military and their stuff gets banged around. If someone is willing to pay what it costs and likes the feel, go for it. I'm married now and money goes elsewhere do I'll save the grand and stick to my AI.....if I had money to burn, I would probably grab one.

In the end your both right....

I like the look of the Cadex chassis, and respect the amount of time/engineering/maching that went into it..........If I had pockets full of disposable cash, I would be picking up one of these (or maybe two.... ;)....).......But since I don't, I will be sticking with my MDT-TAC 21 build........

Agreed. something I found while working my McMillan A5 was that depending on winter to summer conditions, I would still adjust my length of pull and change my butt pad position based on shooting prone of packing the gun.

We had two of these in stock.

We are down to one in Coyote with a black one on the way (which is spoken for).

Probably get more on order this week. Drop by the store to check it out.
