I'm very curious how much play there is in the system?

Most bipods wiggle in the pivots. Harris overcomes this by the addition of springs that preload the leg pivots and create stability.

With all the moving parts on the Cadex, it would take some serious talent to design so there is no play.

This is a point that depending on your shooting discipline, may or may not be important BTW. For tactical 1 shot types, the play will not matter as much as a string shooter who needs the bipod to remain stable over 12-17 rounds... and without allowing the rifle to cant.
