Thought a rifle in one of the posters in the background looked familiar when Bruce Willis went shopping

Cadex poster in the gun store.. nice

Let us not get into the politics of the movie..sadly

The scene is filmed at CRAFM in Montreal. Frank, the owner and my old boss, is in the first gun store scene showing someone a table.

I found it to be an excellent remake of the original.
They didn't mess it up with blockbuster effects. It was nicely updated to include today's modernisms.
I was happy with the gun store scene that they showed the paperwork and explained the laws.
Overall I'd have to say well done and I hope they make more.

It's a movie, a fictional movie, set in Chicago, shot on a 'second unit', but still produced by Hollywood types. I, too, was disappointed with the misrepresentation of the Illinois licensing process (and it's delays) and the ATF (registered transferable machine gun) registration process (and it's delays). But since when do we expect realism from a "Hollywood movie"?

Since John Wick, that's when.

Had they cared about facts, they easily could have set that last scene 'six-months later' or 'one year later'; that might've allowed the ERP enough time to (both) get Illinois-licensed and then to get his ATF Forms approved.

But - again - Hollywood doesn't care about inconvenient facts.
