Cadex verses MDT tac 21 .

We really do not know, and sorry when we are vague. We always have to be careful to not post anything that should not be public information.

Understood, just didn't quite get the gist of the initial seemingly contradictory exchange we appeared to be having but that is cleared up now.

If having the spend 30 minutes to remove and re-install the trigger is a pain; and therefore prevents you from ordering it.... we are lost for words.

I don't appreciate your tone.
If you want my real reason for not purchasing your product is that I feel that Cadex is higher quality and there sales to mil/le are a big plus. I'll spend my cash with company's that don't try to belittle you.

I am struggling with this statement, what do you mean the action shifts...the recoil lug wouldn't work properly otherwise. I am trying to understand this statement, not trying to start an argument.

Recoil forces from firing are transferred through the recoil lug, not the action screws.
If the action screws are tight enough to prevent any small shifting of the action, the recoil lug isn't going to be seated 100%, and the action screws are seeing a lateral load.
I tried many different torque settings, skim bedding, etc. Nothing prevented the zero from shifting after knocking the rifle around a bit.
I had zero luck with mine until I glued the action in, at which point I realized it was bulky, heavy, and provided no ergonomic advantages. It does look cool though.
It would be more appealing nowadays if mdt would do a redesign on the top cover to allow mounting directly to the action, modernized the handguard, and slimmed the design up to lose weight and feel less "clunky".
It's tough love mdt, I know, but you can do better...

Did your feeling just get hurt??
He/they never insulted you, only that they didn't understand why that would be a reason not to buy it.

Apologies for offending anyone. Just did not know how to respond to that.

Note that we do have products with a lot of LE, including the FBI.

Ive been wanting to build a 700 for a while now...had my eye on the tac21 for ages, but whats pushing me toward a cadex is that it is available in OD and left hand configuration....

So cmon mdtac give me a green left hand 700 SA and my struggle will be over!

We have had left hand for a long time. That is already available. Unfortunately you would need to get someone to paint it for you. We don't have green available at this time.

I got an MDT HS3 chassis with the skeleton butt stock last week, unfortunately my rifle won't be ready for a few more weeks. I will say though that the MDT seems like a very good quality system, it is simple to assemble, it only took a couple of minutes, and once the barrelled action gets here it will be a simple drop in and go. It is fairly light weight too, with the balance currently to the rear because of the absence of the barrel and action, but once that is installed I am sure the balance will be very good. I really like how it is clean and simple, no rails over the action or the barrel that I do not need, but I can add rails just about anywhere I want, but as a civilian I don't have any need for rails sticking out all over the place.

I am really looking forward to getting the rifle completed and mounted up to see how the final assembled system works together. Very happy so far, plus the price was great! Less than $800 for the chassis, butt stock, grip and two rail sections (that I likely won't use). Just have to add a couple of mags and I am good to go!

I think a lot of people just like to nit pick.

Example: they complain that you have to remove the stock on the TAC-21 to remove the bolt. There are a couple very well known and popular American chassis that are made this way and no one complains about them having this issue.........

And those that say "chassis" aren't for precision shooting, just say that to David Tubb (The Tubb 2000) or many other Precision /High Power rifle competitors who use Chassis/tube guns that use AR-15 style accessories..........

Not what I wanted to hear :) as I really like the inline look of the MDT. Thanks , that settles it for me.

I had a Cadex on a .308 and really liked it but was hoping for an inline look. I guess a Cadex is going on my Tikka 7 MM

I was going to suggest a Whiskey 3 but they are only available in non magnum calibers for the T3.

I have never used one but it sure looks nice:

I have to agree with this. I have a savage mounted in a tac21. It usually takes me longer to remove the bolt than it does to remove the stock. I can remove and replace the stock in less than 5 sec.
